A Stupid Question

Like this why I am?
Why don’t I learn instead of repeat?
Why do I forget so easily of the made promises?
Or rather why do I discard them?

Why do I shift so swiftly between focus and bewildered?
Believe Believe Believe Believe Believe
Why do I resist it?
Why am I not free, even though I am?

Why do I act something I don’t feel?
2 weeks I’m happy 2 months I am stupid
Asking the same questions and receiving the same answers

Why do I think I don’t have a voice
Why do I struggle to keep constant
Why do I worsen instead of fix
Why can’t I see straight with an open conscience

Repetition Repetition Repetition Repetition
not in a good way
How can I break the cycle

It’s only a stupid question from a stupid boy
In the end I always can
But that isn’t how I feel.
Be Happy I tell myself and be
Nothing on this crooked sphere is serious
THINK!!! REMEMBER WHO I AM!!!

Ponder on these questions that the author is experiencing:

  • Why does the author feel trapped despite perceived freedom?
  • What pattern does the author experience with happiness?
  • What repeated action frustrates the author?

Vultures Don’t Soar High

-   The vultures hover above their tiny heads. The wind here has never stood still, the putrid smell of decay fills the air. Their dirty hands, the sewer nearby and the food crumbs tell an endless tale of survival. There is no healing except from the spit of the...
