She would rise and
shine with me..
She would part with anything for me
that I loved or desired..
Today, she might be a woman,
but just between us, there is no time travel..
Her gentle, sweet,
kind spirit wasn’t a match for my boisterous self..
But my partner in crime,
my soulmate she has been..
She was always the peacemaker,
an enemy for all my troubles..
The one who knows what I mean when
I tell the world that my childhood is tangible..
The school bags, the dirty clothes,
the phone calls, the giggles, the movies..
The stories, the tears, the scents,
the places, the people.. She knows why I laugh..
A delight in her throat
sends my heart fluttering..
She is happy and there is
nothing more I want to know..
We are miles apart sister,
but you are always there inside my heart!

About The Article Author:
Hi, I’m Rachana. Its been my dream for years to do something to consciously create a better future where every one of us is excited about our own potential. My challenge to everyone is that they aspire for their personal best and leave a legacy of their work through their contributions to mankind.

Will you join me on this journey of growth and transformation?

Love For My Lava – A Poem by Rachana

Thank you everyone! Yes, this poem is very close to heart, something that I have with me, when I don’t have my sister physically closer.. !!
Jingle as always, thanks for the encouragement, I feel special being associated with your group of bloggers.. :)

Hi Rachana,
You depict the relationship in its subtleties and in its beauty. I have two older sisters and I think despite the arguments when we were growing up, there something about the relationship that I will always treasure. This is a beautiful tribute.
Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
Thank you for your comment, I appreciate you stopping by. I wish I had a name, or a link, I would tell you there are no words to express how I feel.
Rachana.
Very touching. I wanna write one like this to my sister too. Reading your poem,I just couldn’t stop myself from going to my sister’s room and kicking her with my ‘loving elder bro’ kick! Well, needless to say, I received double the amount in return!
Thanks Naba, your comment gave my poem a new lease.. ! Very funny, I am sure your sister wants to show you her muscle once in a while. :)
Yes, sisters are awesome, and mine is too!!
