This post is going to answer this question: What are the top attributes of a person that companies are looking for when they are hiring them?
The first thing that they are looking for is a self-starter, a person who is self-motivated to get into the thick of the known knowns and the unknown unknowns. They have to be very good at listening and communicating the extent. of how far they are into it getting on board with everything they’re being introduced to.
They’re expected to have great adaptable skills because the rate of change around us is accelerating at an exponential rate. Some of the other skills is the ability to negotiate and network with new people as well as team members and the confidence to handle disagreements that come along the way.
A person who is innately self-confident in their ability to perform while also having the self-awareness to understand the various temperaments of team members and leadership can thrive in any setting.
One of the greatest pluses will be the ability to see the big picture kind of like the 350,000 feet view of all the information they have. Of course, a person with a keen sense of what works for daily tactical operations as well as the strategic long term vision is going to a great asset to the team.
Finally, a person who has a keen sense of personal values that will aid them in any kind of difficult decision making process will be able to crack the interview with flying colors.
