As I try to write a poem named, Love for my lava (because Vijayawada has a boiling lava hot belly) I think of all these people that give my city a heartbeat.

Here are the first words of Love for my lava:

Every summer,
I come for the warmth of my people,
but before I can hug my grandmother,
I must tread your boiling lava face.
