I want you to consider this statement. Time is really the only resource you own. There’s nothing else in the world that you possess is as important as the time you’ve on this earth.

Each new day above the ground, is another 1440 minutes. How we use these minutes shapes our lives. It’s a finite resource that can help each passing moment transform into a thrilling experience or a joyful memory. But, only if we choose to spend it that way.

The problem with time is that each one of us lives our life as if we’re going to live forever. Ask an emergency room physician and she will tell you the value of second.

Time can induce terror or awe. It’s subjective and abstract. You must live in the moment for you to experience every raw emotion that’s rooted in time. Don’t live in the future, because you will fear the unknown. Don’t live in the past, and ruminate what’s lost. Live in the “PRESENT” tense – neither now nor later, but in the now.

Imagine your future self. Will they thank you for taking action now or regret your delay? Forecasting can be scary, but it motivates us to act. Simply practice planning for the future in small steps with living fully in the present.

Choose the pain of self-discipline over the regret of missed opportunities. If a task takes less than 2 minutes, do it immediately; otherwise, time box it. Allocate specific time blocks for tasks. It helps manage priorities and prevents procrastination. Reschedule important tasks that haven’t been done yet. Face them head-on.

All said and done, time is unique – it belongs to you. Use it wisely, because every second will shape your impact and your legacy.
