The Life & Times of an Entrepreneur
Being an entrepreneur is a solitary and scary act of self-sustenance. At FutureSTRONG Academy, we keep our doors open every day so we can inspire little children, teens, parents and any adults who’re looking to find courage during their most challenging times. So, it’s time we let you in on our state of mind and affairs these days.
Here’s how we prepare our mindset each morning for the day, the week and the year ahead.
Striving for Personal Excellence
Our quest for personal excellence is a road we must constantly pave through a forest of uncertainty that lies ahead of us. Sometimes there’s the fear of judgement and suffering that holds us back from forging ahead. But, often, it’s the voice from words, both ours and others, that shape how we value ourselves.
Understand this. If we don’t believe in ourselves, someone else’s belief about us will become our reality. It will lay the dangerous seed that will allow us to believe in our unworthiness and our incapacity to matter. The seed of self-doubt cannot be nurtured, it must be crushed.
Protecting our Personal Power
There is one thing that keeps taking away our personal power if we don’t keep a tab on it. It’s hugely detrimental to our wellbeing and our potential to Become Unstoppable. And that is Shame.
Shame is a deeply private and painful emotion that takes roots in the belief that we’re not somehow good enough and are not worthy of being accepted by others because of our shortcomings.
When do we feel shame?
When we experience rejection where we were expecting compassion, support and understanding.
Here are some ways we can help ourselves in such situations.
* Remember that someone else’s attitude cannot be our worry and grief.
* If our current situation stems out of circumstances out of our control, how is it our fault?
* Let’s label our feelings and see them evaporate. Say those bad words louder and feel their power go away!
* No one is perfect.
* Learn what empathy is.
Commitment to Life Long Learning
The best part about engaging with children is how much we can learn from them! They show us constantly that we can all be lifelong learners if we can do the following.
1. Are never satisfied with knowing the “one and only right” answer.
2. Never assume that we already know everything we need to know.
3. Are not afraid of failing and reflecting on our mistakes to do better next time.

Having our Eyes on the Prize
We have to keep reminding our purpose and our mission, and why we’ve set out to do what we do. It’s to rev up children and adults about our inherent unstoppable potential. And what better way to start the journey with toddlers?!
The 3 B’s of helping our children reach their highest potential.
Belong. Believe. Become.
Belong: Children who know they matter try harder to reach the expectations set by caring adults in their life.
Believe: When children become aware of their unlimited potential to do great things they’re not afraid of challenges on the road to their goals.
Become: Children who have a sense of belonging and belief in their strengths, become what they aspire to be!
Where’s our own Positivity, Duh?!
Words matter. And we want the words of our brand to inspire, be relevant and give hope. We want people to go crazy with the idea that they too can matter and create a positive change in the world in a small or big way!
Courage is one of our pillars here at FutureSTRONG Academy, because like you, we often start our week with a bad case of #MondayBlues. But, we derive a lot of power from positivity because it lets us access the reserves of courage hidden deep within us.
Optimism helps us become unstoppable and lets us take risks when we make sure to have the consequences in mind. After all, we will always pay a price for all the things we’ve never tried.
Asking Ourselves Difficult Questions
If you’re running a company like Future STRONG, there’s no way you can NOT be interested in the personal development lifestyle. And as proponents of “authenticity and vulnerability sets you free”, we have to move despite having 4000$ in the bank.
We’re scouting new locations, testing new partnerships, constantly correcting blind spots, asking people if they can lend us money, watching others struggle with their dreams, yet are telling ourselves constantly that we’re unstoppable. But that can kind of a mindset can come when you “change your opinion of risk” as Bill Gates suggests.
And two questions we must ask ourselves, “Can we live with the regret of not trying?” and “Are we still going to be employable if this idea doesn’t work out?” :)
Not afraid of Seeking Feedback
We’re constantly thinking of how we can create value for our parents and children. We ask ourselves every day, “What are some of the brands that have a great feel to them?”
That makes us think of all the things that unite us. We all want to be inspired and challenged at the same time. And we want happiness. We love attention and the ability to face difficult situations and come out stronger. And more importantly, we can all live productive lives if we hold ourselves personally accountable for our thoughts and actions.
What wouldn’t we all do our collective future, right? Hope you love our spirit. We would love your feedback, whether it’s nice or otherwise.
Our One Word is Gratitude
At FutureSTRONG every day, we’re taking huge leaps of faith.
But, so are those scores of children, parents, landlords, contractors, coaches, partners and interns who’re willing to stand by or cheer on from the sidelines. For all of you who have chosen to invest your time, money and energy, we are excited to report, we’re going wherever we can to make this happen! Whenever we feel the need to hold onto something for courage, your thoughts and actions are helping us stand STRONG. Thank you!!
We’re grateful for our health, our children, and the food on our table. And what’s better, when we’re grateful, there’s not time to be angry or afraid!
Relying on Unconditional Acceptance
Why look for our identity in others’ approvals when we can fill ourselves up with unconditional acceptance? Why do we marvel at others while endlessly dwelling on our own possibilities? We can all redeem ourselves and start all over again – today! But, only if we believe we’re redeemable.
When we’re brooding our past, our present is holding our future hostage. It’s all about progress my dear, not perfection. Have high expectations but low standards so we can get started on our mission!
In some situations, we tell ourselves stories that are not true. They’re called IRRATIONAL FEARS. Be a reckless optimist. March forward no matter what. We put in the effort and let go off doubt. Simple. We’re not perfect, and so is no one else.
Our Other Daily One-Liners
- Simplify irrationally.
- Outwork everyone, especially our competition.
- When we smile, our eyes light up.
- Put one foot after the other.
- Become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- Average or Awesome. What do you want to be?
- Pain of regret is far greater than self-discipline.
- Be the best that you can be.
Leading While Being Afraid
There’s one thing in the world that in equal parts can excite us and also scare the living day lights out of us! Can you guess what it is?
If you guessed an ambitious goal, you’re right.
It’s my sacred duty to defend the world. Says Wonder Woman.
Somedays, you feel like a Wonder Woman, and somedays, like a nobody. But, “Success” is about working hard consistently, making difficult choices and outlasting our competition. Here’s to leading while afraid!
