What happens when you surrender to the earth’s love and wonder, and two lovers find themselves caught in the eye of a storm? Read along.
Rain hits the tin roof
like a thousand loose needles,
these passing clouds —
messengers of thunder,
order us to drop civility.
Far from the city,
this open highway feels claustrophobic.
Cut the engine.
Leave the umbrella and get out.
This car was never meant to cover
the sudden,
violent distance between our necks anyway.
This storm demands it.
Pin me against the wet metal,
between your thighs.
I don’t need a compass,
or fireflies to find my way to you.
The steam from your breath
is all I need.
The mind has its urgency,
but we have no tools —
we have to teach each other how to use our mouths,
how not to speak each other’s names.
Don’t behave.
Keep your edges rough.
I know more about polar bears
than I know about you,
so let me travel
through your animal parts.
Look at how a single raindrop sticks to your chin,
such a cold,
stubborn parasite.
If this kiss starts a wildfire in the downpour,
let it burn.
The trees and their leaves
in the distance
are getting drenched too.
We will leave this place as we found it:
untamed and
dangerous.
I stretch out my arms.
I’ll let the rain
shoot a million arrows straight into my chest.

Hi, I’m Rachana. Its been my dream for years to do something to consciously create a better future where every one of us is excited about our own potential. My challenge to everyone is that they aspire for their personal best and leave a legacy of their work through their contributions to mankind.
One more thing. In December of 2044, I hope to win the Nobel.
Will you join me on this journey of growth and transformation?
Namasté.
