When Does Praise Become A Problem?
Absolutely lend your praise, and in fact, over communicate when in the knowing, especially, if it’s positive and affectionate.
The idea is to praise the effort and not attach any specific quality to the person who’s being praised. Because, when you praise qualities that the person can’t identify as possessing, it becomes a problem.
Ambiguous words like special, unique, brilliant, genius or gifted must be avoided.
