The ultimate truth, our inevitable death, is raw humanity. To be vulnerable together, in the company of someone who is sick or dying, is a roller coaster of emotions. It is witnessing strength, acceptance and peace amidst chaos, despair and pain. It’s an honor to be in the presence of someone during this difficult and very private time. And if its a cat that’s dying, a living being who can’t speak his feelings out, it’s the most humbling experience of a lifetime.
