Current State of AI Adoption

I recently wrote about the current state of AI adoption across corporations and what it would take for us to go from Pilots, POCs to scalable AI Production products.

Here’s a quick summary. Organizations are pushing teams to innovate with AI through leadership directives, pilots, and proof-of-concepts. Initial excitement often leads to a scramble as groups experiment with bots, agents, sentiment analysis, data cleanup, and workflow automation. While many are eager to automate tasks, improve decisions, and reduce complexity, a widening digital divide and pressure to demonstrate value have emerged, with companies now actively tracking individual and team AI usage.

Bridging Pilot to Scale with Human Focus

The biggest gap between pilots and production remains trust, requiring strong governance, data integrity, security, compliance, approved tools, and human oversight. AI excels at tasks but cannot replace strategic human thinking — intent must guide what to automate to preserve human agency.

A practical 90-day starter plan includes: Days 0–30 for governance and use-case identification, Days 31–60 for focused pilots, and Days 61–90 for scaling successes. Ultimately, the goal is scaling human potential, not just AI.
